Awards & Recognition

The Iowa Engineering Society presents the following awards.

Members and Chapters are encouraged to submit nominations to the IES state office at 515-284-7055 or [email protected] by April 15th of each year.

Please identify each individual along with their e-mail address & phone, and why you are nominating them for the award you specify. 

ANSON MARSTON AWARD is awarded in recognition of outstanding service to the Iowa Engineering Society.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD is awarded in recognition of outstanding service to the engineering profession.

HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP AWARD is awarded in recognition of high professional attainment and exceptional service to IES.

VOICE OF THE ENGINEER AWARD is awarded in recognition of significant contributions to the enhancement of the image of the engineering profession, through involvement with the general public or targeted publics. These efforts should bring a broader recognition or understanding to the contributions or accomplishments of engineers.

YOUNG ENGINEER AWARD (previously the John Dunlap-Sherman Woodward Award) is awarded in recognition of outstanding technical or professional achievement reached before the age of 35.
